DRAWING FROM THE COLLECTION FOR CHILDREN Drawing from the Collection for Children is a gallery program for children between the ages of 5 and 10. Admission is free and no registration is required. Attendance is limited to 15, so arrive early to ensure your participation. For information, contact the education department at 817.840.2121 or christine@themodern.org.
Does your child show an avid interest in art? Would he or she like to take a drawing class? If so, Drawing from the Collection for Children may be just that class! Children will become acquainted with the Modern’s collection while developing drawing skills by looking and learning with local artists who lead informal basic drawing classes in the galleries. Classes will be held every first Sunday, from 2 to 3:30 pm, led by artist and Curator of Education Terri Thornton. Classes are open to children between the ages of 5 and 10. Parents are welcome to accompany their children. Bring a sketchbook and pencils or purchase materials from The Modern Shop.
