Public Tours
Tours led by Museum-trained docents provide a dynamic experience based on close viewing, education, and interaction. All tours are free for Modern members and free to the public with admission to the galleries. Docent-led tours are offered Tuesday through Sunday at 2 pm. On Wednesdays and the first Sunday of each month, when gallery admission is free to the public, tours are available at 11 am and 2 pm. These tours do not require prior arrangements and begin in the museum lobby.

Spanish-language Tours
Docent-led tours in Spanish are offered at 2 pm on the first Sunday of each month, when gallery admission is free. These tours are open to the public and do not require prior arrangements. Docents are also available to conduct private Spanish-language tours when reservations are made at least two weeks in advance.

Graduate Museum Lectureship Program
The Graduate Museum Lectureship Program offers visitors the opportunity to study art at the Modern in greater depth through focused gallery talks developed and presented by area graduate students in art and art history. Based on close observation, intensive research, and original analysis, these lectures explore works on view through a thematic and theoretical approach. Each thirty-minute talk is presented twice over the course of the semester, which allows museum visitors multiple opportunities to attend. These discussions are held at 6:15 pm on Tuesdays and 1 pm on Saturdays from September 16 to November 15. The lectures are free to the public with the price of admission to the galleries and begin in the museum lobby. For more information, including dates, times, and topics, please visit www.themodern.org.
