Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Kimbell Art Museum Announce Reciprocal Ticket Discounts for Summer Exhibitions
The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Kimbell Art Museum announce a reciprocal ticket discount during the overlapping time period of their summer exhibitions, Ron Mueck and The Mirror and the Mask: Portraiture in the Age of Picasso. Visitors will receive a $2 discount on full-price adult admission at the Modern with a ticket stub from the Kimbell for The Mirror and the Mask: Portraiture in the Age of Picasso, or a $2 discount on full-price adult admission to The Mirror and the Mask: Portraiture in the Age of Picasso at the Kimbell with a ticket stub from the Modern.
The ticket discounts are available from June 24 to September 16, and are redeemable the same day only. They are not valid with any other discounts.
EXHIBITONS
Ron Mueck
June 24–October 21, 2007
The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth presents a special exhibition of work by renowned contemporary sculptor Ron Mueck, an exceptional artist and virtuoso of hyperrealistic sculpture. Thirteen works will be on view in the special exhibition, including Untitled (Seated Woman), 1999; the critically acclaimed Dead Dad, 1996–97, a scrupulously rendered, three-foot-long sculpture of the artist’s father lying naked on the floor; In Bed, 2005/6, a twenty-foot sculpture of a woman lying tucked in bed; and Baby, 2000, a ten-inch-long newborn infant. A thirty-minute video showing the artist at work will also be part of the exhibition, along with examples of his working materials and casts.
